Frankly, the MyZone HRM is not as capable as alternatives. I'll propose my analysis and suggest that MyZone does not now and will not ever support third party devices on their receivers. From what I've read about the MyZone hub, receiver, and app, pairing is accomplished by entering a serial number or device ID from the MyZone HRM. Supports heart rate variability (HRV) - all devices. Transmits real-time heart rate and supports HRV via BLUETOOTH ® technology to compatible devices and apps - Dual, Pro, Pro Plus. This is, why I was irritated at the start of the thread. So if it does not work with your device, it could be a bug.
m4stic. • 2 yr. ago. Yes you have to pair it with Garmin Connect and Watch. If paired with garmin connect only, the strap will account for steps, activity minutes and HR “daily” metrics. But if you want to use HRM Pro for running cycling etc.. you have to pair it with watch. naughtybarry.
Btw, forgot to post it afterwards - took my HRM Pro to the shop for warranty claim, it was a faulty piece and the distributor replaced it for a new one. Also 2 of my friends had the same issue, in case that your hrm pro does the same, don’t wait and get it to the shop you’ve bought it and get it replaced. 1. r/Garmin.
Running power is pre-installed on watches like the Forerunner 955/255, Fenix 7 & Epix 2. Several charts, metrics and power numbers are now better integrated into the workout view on Garmin Connect. Edit Oct/Nov 2022: Running power will be calculated without the need for any external sensor. Just switched from Zwift to Trainer Road because of previous connection issues (my cadence sensor/HR would randomly drop). TR has been much better with connections but for some reason my Garmin DUAL-HRM will connect but the HR just shows up as “–”. It is connected by bluetooth I have troubleshooted by making sure the sensors are wet, no other bluetooth connections, Redownloaded TR 2 Wear the heart rate monitor with the Garmin® logo facing right-side up. The loop and hook connection should be on your right side. 3 Wrap the heart rate monitor around your chest, and connect the strap hook to the loop. NOTE: Make sure the care tag does not fold over. After you put on the heart rate monitor, it is active and sending data. I also use Zwift run on my Android phone frequently. I am facing the same issues now with Garmin HRM, connected but no signal. I have to connect the HRM to my Garmin 735xt watch to get my readings. So i guess it is not only the companion app but it is the zwift app that might cause the issues OR probably Android connectivity. REVIEW: Garmin HRM-PRO – Garmins best heart rate belt so far. Garmin HRM-PRO is a premium heart rate belt for running, training and everyday use. As a new feature it has memory so you can use it without your heart rate watch. The new Garmin HRM-PRO heart rate belt is similar to the HRM-TRI belt. But as a new feature it introduces memory which TjCwCcS.
