So I did a PS2 vs PS3 Remaster vs Xbox 360 in 2018 and honestly the PS3 remaster played fine and was easier than the Original PS2. The Xbox 360 Remaster on the other hand is god f*cking awful. It crashes, audio cuts off often and the radio itself seemed to be the biggest contributor to all the issues.
