Personally the ambience and environment is wayyy better in primal, the nature sounds, people running away from animals, the huts and hideouts, etc. Primal has less content than far cry 4 though. They shouldn't just stop spawning, so going around the badger areas (marked in the map) at daytime should help. If not, there is a badger hunt quest you can do. The quest can be activated southeast from Nada Swamp Outpost, by Crying Putila Stones I think. The actual mission takes place west from the activation point. There's a dangerous area south east on the map fraught with Cave bears and Badgers, and there's also a particuarly safe area just south of the center of the map - though I could never find them there.
